Hypnosis Secrets

Tuesday 4 December 2007 @ 1:14 am

Some people believe that hypnosis is generally based on the secret of the law of attraction. In fact, many experts have found that your body reacts to your mind’s wish. In short, if you want to achieve any thing and if you keep your goal always in your mind then you will surely notice that your ambition leads you to travel in correct direction. Hence, psychologists say that the thoughts are your energy.

You see, when you think about something seriously, then it means that you are sending your energy to the world to attain your goal. If you think positively you will surely observe that you can accomplish the goal.

You should also remember that any negative thoughts will have the same impacts like the positive thoughts. The law of attraction strongly proves that your body moves according to the direction of your mind only. For example, many of your diets fail because when you diet you will always think about the food and as a result you can never lose your weight. But when you think that you want to be strong and healthy, then your diet will start working to make you healthy.

Likewise, many people who are addicts to smoking or drugs have the struggle to get rid of such habits. This is because they will always think about what they are giving up. But if they start thinking about what they will receive when they leave such habits behind,  then they can achieve their goal much more easily and quickly.

If you start a self hypnosis study or if you go to a hypnotist for hypnotherapy, the first thing you should learn is to capture your mind. You should modify your mind to think about what you want rather than what you do not want. Remember that your body acts according to your mind only and so do not focus your mind to think what you do not want.

You should learn to use you subconscious mind to move in the direction you want. Your mind has more powers and what you hold in your mind will react in your body movement also. First of all learn to thank for the things you have and do not always think about the things that you have not. Focus on what you want and do not think about what you do not want. Then you can use your energy to achieve your goal. You will see that the goal you have strongly held in your inner mind will lead the direction to achieve it.

Hypnotism is the scientific use of hypnosis. And some professionals use  hypnotism to treat the patients having certain psychological or medical problems.

Some hypnotism techniques are being used from the ancient times. As such, hypnosis is a natural part of the human behavior affecting social, physical and psychological experience. Monday 12 November 2007 @ 1:09 am

Mind control is a process of making any individual loose their control over their own thinking and behavior. Many mind control experiments are done through physical force and violence. You should not confuse Hypnotism with mind control. The two are different terms.

Mind control can be enforced by religion, politics, parents’ behavior etc. Mind control has been related to two syndromes. They are Battered person syndrome and Stockholm syndrome. Battered person syndrome is normally associated with women where she kills the abuser who gave her a long term physical and psychological abuse. Such persons will have low self esteem. Stockholm syndrome is referred to the loyalty and affection by the victim to the abuser.

Trance Techniques

Tuesday 6 November 2007 @ 1:04 am

Trance is the state of mind in which you are away from the external world and trying to see deep into your inner mind. Trance techniques are used by hypnotherapists to hypnotize the client. Basic techniques of trance are Relaxation, Confusion method and Eye fatigue.

Relaxation Method

If you want to go into trance yourself; you can use technique of relaxation, meditation, simple breathing. Relaxation is simple and can be achieved by simple instructions of physical relaxation. With that brain should be diverted to concentrate on breathing so mental relaxation is also possible. You have to center yourself and slip away your worries and sense of peace will enter your body.

Confusion Method

A well known trance technique is the confusion method. This is done with the highly analytical client who is not relaxed enough for the Relaxation Method. An attempt to confuse the conscious mind is done. The hypnotherapist will use some puzzling words by which the client is led on a mind blowing riddle. In between, relaxing words are repeated by the hypnotherapist. As the client is confused with his speech, he is at the same time being forced to relax through the use of relaxing suggestions.

Eye Fatigue Method

An alternative to the relaxation and confusion methods is the eye fatigue method. The client is asked to perform any number of tiring exercises such as “Look up at a point just above your head. Count backwards from 50 to one and you have to open eyes on the even numbers and close on odd numbers.” By the time he counts to one, the client is tired.

Simply Breathing Helps

A popular simple breathing technique is very simple and everybody can practice this himself. You have to close your eyes. Then concentrate on the sound of your breathing. Breathe slowly. Feel peace that enters your body with each breath. Continue and you will feel your muscles of feet are relaxed. Similarly the tension of legs and thighs will go. Feel your abdominal muscles are relaxed. Your shoulders, hand and arm are limp and peaceful.

Now your neck and finally your head are also relaxed.  Now there is only empty darkness and your all concerns are gone. You will feel empty and peaceful. To return back to normal state again, concentrate on breathing and with each breath you will feel becoming awake again.

Overall, it is easy to go into trance because in everyday life we go into light trance without knowing it. But the critical part is to utilize it to help the subject to achieve the desired results. It is easy to achieve light state of trance with practice. The hypnotist is an educator giving information about the techniques.  It is really difficult to achieve hypnosis if the subject doesn’t want to be of if his thoughts are not clear.

Mind Control Secrets

Tuesday 30 October 2007 @ 7:38 pm

Hypnosis scares people unnecessarily. For example, many people questions whether or not anybody can control your mind. And the answer is no. In fact, a hypnotist also could not force you to do anything against your will.

A hypnotist can guide you into a hypnotic state. And he or she may make suggestions.

However, you always have the power to reject these.

About Mind Control

Mind control secrets are nothing but the techniques to control your thoughts. You can use these techniques with others too. These techniques can help to boost self confidence, for example, or help with overcoming inhibitions. Here are points about mind control:

1) Mind control secrets are successful if the conscious mind is bypassed and messages

are absorbed by the subconscious mind.

2) Our habits and behavior are controlled by our subconscious mind. The new thought patterns and behaviors are built by subconscious mind. When you want to achieve real change, it must take place at a subconscious level.

3) A brief visual message may not be seen by a person consciously, yet it may be perceived by them at subconscious level. Our mind filters the most of the messages we receive every day so they do not influence us. But the subliminal messages by-pass the conscious mind and go straight to subconscious, where they have lasting impact.

4) You are not aware of the messages if they are properly administered. The conscious mind is not affected by subliminal messages; however, the messages have good impact on the subconscious or deeper mind. Overall success of such techniques is debated.

5) Some messages are presented to the listener at the time when he is listening to normal, casual, everyday messages. In short, the sounds of two different types are ongoing at the same time. Experts believe that while conscious mind is listening to the louder sound, the subconscious is working to hear the lower sound message.

In summary, mind control secrets are for an individual’s control of their own thinking, behavior, emotions, or decisions.  Mind control secrets are different than brainwashing. Many mind control secrets have focused on physical or torture as principal methods to force victims to do what they do not want to do. Physical torture affects the functioning of the victim’s nervous systems including the brain.

Such methods are subject of debate among psychologists and neuroscientists and sociologists. Different views on this subject do have legal implications. The important question is how much of the messages are perceived? Some think that unconscious signals could be absorbed only if they are simple. While others say that unconscious cognition is comprehensive and hence much more is perceived than verbalized.

Supporters of subliminal messages claim that they gain influence from the fact that they do by-pass the critical functions of the conscious mind. And so ordinary suggestions are not impressive as subliminal suggestions.

See for yourself. Learn more and give easy hypnosis a try to improve your health.

Many use hypnosis techniques for all types of health issues like losing weight, ceasing smoking and other bad habits, replacing them with new, healthier ones.

The Basic Steps to Hypnotize Someone

Tuesday 23 October 2007 @ 8:05 pm

When you are planning to learn basics of “How to Hypnotize Someone” it is suggested that you try to seek help of any professional hypnotist & learn from him or her. That said, note that it is often not easy to convince any professional hypnotist to teach you.

This is for ethical reasons. And it’s because for any processional hypnotist who is making his or her living on the income coming out of this profession, sharing secrets will obviously create competition in the field, not always desired.

Basic Hypnosis Points

There are some points to be considered when you are planning to hypnotize someone in particular.

1. Every person can not be hypnotized.

2. The level by which people gets under the effect of hypnotism vary from person to person.

3. It is difficult to hypnotize a person with high ego; plus it is comparatively easier to hypnotize a low profile person.

4. People of different sex, age & brainpower have varied resistance to hypnosis.

5. No can be hypnotized against his or her will. This is point of debate & not all hypnotists agree over this point.

Basic Steps of Hypnosis

With keeping above points in mind here is how to start practical hypnosis.

1. First, test the subject to find out how ’suggestible’ he or she is. There are two easy tests to find out how ’suggestible’ the person is:

a. Ask him to roll his eyes upwards as far as he can. The less the colored part

of the eye you see, the more easily you can hypnotize him.

Or

b. Ask them to look at a small light in a darkened room. Then pretend to move the light and ask them “if it is moving or not?” The person who quickly replies affirmative will be easier to hypnotize.

2. When performing hypnosis look for a quiet, secure, soothing environment, without any noise or disturbance. The disturbance like music, television can cause lose of concentration for you as well as the subject.

3. Don’t try to be in charge of subject’s mind rather try to make him responding to your directions.

4. Ask the subject to close his or her eyes. Then allow a short silent period. This period can be up to 1 minute or less depending upon the suggestibility of the subject. This silent period will help the subject to become calm and comfortable.

5. Start a gentle talk in a encouraging way. Ask subject to do some simple task, like moving the hand or finger up & down.

6. Next stage is to ‘take command’. You can lead subject to do some types of actions easily e.g. blink eyes, visualize a fly around, movement of arms, legs. It is difficult but not impossible to lead a subject to more difficult actions like he is of age 7 & repeatedly asking for ice-cream or can run fast like Superman or has forgotten even his own name.. .

7. Do not forget your aim. As a hypnotist your aim is to relax the subject & make him unaware to their surroundings and get his focus on you and your directions.

To recap: start with simple instruction then gradually move to difficult instructions. Perform under quiet, secure, soothing environment.

Overview Hypnosis History

Tuesday 16 October 2007 @ 7:31 pm

The evidence of Hypnosis is as old as the origin of mankind itself. For example, the genesis writers had reported that God put Adam in deep sleep & took his rib to form Eve. Plus in book “The World’s Greatest Hypnotists” authors John C. Hughes & Andrew E. Rothovius (published in 1996) spots ancient record suggesting hypnosis was used by the oracle at Delphi and in rites in ancient Egypt. And the book the “Manu-Smriti” in Sanskrit from India provides categories of different states of hypnosis.

In fact, the modern history of Hypnosis goes back to late 1700s, when Franz Anton Mesmer’s discovery revived an interest in hypnosis. He is considered the father of modern hypnosis.

Franz Anton Mesmer (1734-1815 ) was born in the village of Iznang, in Germany. The term “mesmerism” was given after him. Mesmerism was described as a process of inducing trance through use of magnets. However, the medical community discredited him despite his considerable discovery leading to Hypnosis. Hurt by his accomplishment the medical establishment arranged for an official French government investigating committee. This committee included Benjamin Franklin, who was the American ambassador to France, and Joseph Guillotine.

James Braid (1795-1860) became interested in mesmerism. He said that in the experiment by Mesmer, there is something beyond the effect of magnet only. In 1842 he developed the technique of eye fixation & called it hypnosis. The word Hypnosis was taken from Hypnos, the Greek god of sleep. However later, he tried to change the name to monoeidism but the original name of hypnosis remained popular.

Next, Jean Marie Charcot (1825-1893), a French neurologist, worked further on mesmerism & classified trance in three stages: lethargy, catalepsy and somnambulism. He was opposed by Nancy School of Hypnotism, who believed that hypnosis was simply a manifestation of hysteria. This difference in opinion created bitter enmity between this school & Charcot.

Later a French neurologist and psychologist Pierre Janet (1847-1947) continued his work on Hypnosis relating to psychoanalytical rage.

Ivan Petrovich Pavlov (1849-1936) a Russian psychologist & Nobel Prize winner studied the digestive process & psychology. In one experiment on dogs he associated sight of food with sound of bell. This association caused dogs to salivate by hearing sound of a bell even there is no food present.

Emile Coue (1857-1926) a physician formulated Laws of Suggestion. He used to encourage his patient repeatedly saying every night “Every day in every way I am getting better & better” from this experiment he discovered that this leads to positive effect in curing of patient.

Other significant contributors to Hypnosis are : Abbe Faria, James Esdale, Nicholas Spanos, Amir Raz, Robert Baker etc.

Levels, Phases and a Closer Look at Hypnosis

Friday 12 October 2007 @ 5:12 am

In a Hypnotist practicing Therapeutic use of Hypnosis, important
qualities required are: Imagination, Concentration and Motivation. These are
also the qualities desirable for a subject.

Hypnosis is sleep of the nervous system. So there is a decrease in the rate
of respiration, decrease in blood circulation thus sluggish brain waves.
Under the normal consciousness, the brain waves are at Beta wave level.
However, with hypnosis, brain waves slow down to alpha waves than to theta
waves. Delta waves are brain waves possible in childrend & generally no
adult can experience the slowing down  to delta wave level.

Hypnosis can be practiced one to one i.e. one Hypnotist & one subject, or
it can be one to many. This is the case of group when persons has gathered
with the main motive of experiencing Hypnosis.

Hypnosis has excellent power of releasing subconscious mind. It is time
taking learning process & requires regular practice. After learning it
can useful to advance many facets of your life.

Different Levels of Hypnosis

Everybody can not practice Therapeutic hypnosis as it requires highest state
of concentration. However, the basic or medium state of concentration also
brings benefits of relaxation and peace. While lighter level hypnosis gives
feelings of relaxation and calmness as level goes higher individual can
experience physical effects such as tingling sensations in the fingers,
blinking eyelids, a sensation of heaviness in some parts of the body. The
intensity of these feelings boost up after few weeks of practice.

In initial phase hypnosis most people do not have good perception of time
with more experience they can have better awareness of the passing time.

In the medium level physical perceptions becomes more enhanced. The
subject has pronounced tingling sensations in the fingers, blinking eyelids,
a sensation of heaviness in some parts of the body. Some subjects even
experience floating sensations. These feelings appear as being very existent
by the subject. In medium stage the Hypnotist has better access to subjects
mind. In this stage Hypnotist can bring more benefits of hypnosis to the
subject.

As the level gets higher further the conscious awareness grows fainter
leading to top level i.e. the somnambulistic (sleep awareness) levels of
hypnosis. This level leads to the best mental and physical responses. In this
level several physiologic responses associated with deep sleep, such as the
Rapid Eye Movement, can be observed.

In this stage the subject experiences complete conscious forgetfulness. It
makes the subject virtually absent from the real surrounding. This level
brings hallucination. The effect of the illusion remains even after the
hypnosis.
